Registered Nurse Case Management Job in Boston, Massachusetts | Acute Inpatient Travel RN Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Case Management professional for a 26-week travel nursing assignment in Boston, Massachusetts. This role offers the opportunity to support patients through coordinated care planning, utilization review, and resource management in an acute inpatient care environment. Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,761 - $1,957
- Assignment Length: 26 weeks
- Start Date: 6/29/2026
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 8-hour shift
- Shifts Per Week: 5
- Shift: Days, 9:00 AM start time with weekend rotation
- Work Setting: Acute inpatient care
- Openings: 2
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
- Extensive background and knowledge of current medical-surgical patterns of practice and acute inpatient care
- Strong understanding of methods for assessing physical and mental impairment
- Knowledge of illness characteristics, expected treatment plans, benefits, plan contracts, eligibility issues, and authorization requirements
- BSN required
- Case management and utilization management experience preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
- CCM or related certification preferred
Case Management Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate patient care options and services to meet individual health needs
- Coordinate care using a collaborative, patient-centered approach
- Promote quality outcomes through effective communication and resource utilization
- Manage length of stay and support efficient use of healthcare resources
- Determine medical necessity and appropriateness of admission using InterQual screening and inpatient criteria
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, timely, and effective care transitions
- Advocate for patients while balancing clinical needs, payer requirements, and organizational goals
