Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• BSN required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and immediate postpartum periods
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, obstetric providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support safe, high-quality outcomes
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with clinical protocols
• Educate patients and families on labor processes, delivery expectations, recovery, and newborn care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress
• Support a patient-centered environment focused on safety, compassion, and clinical excellence
