• Weekly Estimated Pay: $8,353 - $9,281
• Position: Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician (PRN)
• Location: On-site in Ahoskie, NC (27910) — North Carolina locum opportunity
• Shifts per Week: 3 (12-hour shifts)
• Shift Times: Day: 7:30a – 7:30p; Night: 7:30p – 7:30a
• ED Size: 15 beds; Average ~65 patients/day
• Annual Inpatient Census: 22,250
• EMR: EPIC EMR system experience preferred
• Support: Immediate air and ground transfer capabilities for critical patients

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of clinical Emergency Medicine experience
• Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with strong emergency experience
• Current BLS and ACLS required; ATLS preferred (AHA certifications)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced emergency department
• Experience with EPIC or other major EMR systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to a diverse patient population as an ER physician
• Rapidly assess, stabilize, and manage acute medical and trauma emergencies
• Coordinate patient transfers with immediate air and ground support when required
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans using EPIC EMR
• Work closely with nursing and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
