Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse Jobs in Harrison Township, New Jersey | Progressive Care RN Contract

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week Cardiac Stepdown assignment in Harrison Township, New Jersey. This on-site RN job is ideal for a nurse with progressive care experience who is comfortable floating to telemetry and critical care areas as needed, but will not be expected to care for ICU patients. Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a PCU or Cardiac Stepdown setting
• Additional MS/Tele experience preferred
• Active New Jersey RN license or compact state eligibility, as applicable
• Ability to float to telemetry and critical care areas as needed, but not expected to care for ICU patients
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient monitoring skills
• Ability to complete all required orientation and onboarding activities as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a Cardiac Stepdown and Progressive Care environment
• Monitor cardiac patients closely and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with provider orders and unit standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, effective patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and thoroughly
• Float to telemetry and critical care areas based on patient care needs while working within assigned scope, but not expected to care for ICU patients
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
• Participate fully in orientation, required training modules, and unit-based onboarding
